First and foremost, I should point out that when I say these are the best guided sleep meditations on YouTube, what I actually mean is they’re my favourite.
I’ve experimented with a number of different guided meditations, sleep talk-downs and even hypnosis tracks over the years, but tend to find that these five produce the best results in terms of lulling me into a perfectly peaceful night’s rest.
I can’t 100% guarantee that they’ll be right for you.
As with most things in life, what works for one person may not necessarily work for another, but if you’re having trouble sleeping and you’ve never tried meditation before, think of this guide as a good place to start.
Jason Stephenson – Sleep Talk Down Guided Meditation
With over a million Youtube subscribers and several million video views, it’s no wonder that Jason Stephenson features prominently in any search for the best guided sleep meditations on Youtube.
So, when I first started exploring the world of meditation, I naturally came across many of his videos. The more I listened, the more I found that Stephenson’s voice somehow cultivated within me a wonderful sense of peace, as though my entire being had melted into gently flowing liquid or a soft cloud.
If you find that you’re having trouble sleeping at night because you’re feeling tense or stressed out, this guided sleep talk-down is a great place to start.
Within just a few minutes, you should find all tension simply melts away, your body will relax, and you’ll begin to feel a sense of comfort that you may not have felt for a long time.
Nicky Sutton – Sleep Affirmations
Nicky Sutton is one of my favourite YouTube personalities. I first discovered her work when I began exploring my spirituality and found myself drawn to her gentle, kind and tender nature.
I spent a lot of time listening to Nicky talk about all kinds of spiritual topics before I discovered her guided meditations channel, but once I did, this video of sleep affirmations quickly became a favourite.
There’s something very comforting and reassuring about this sleep talk-down. Listening to it creates this wonderful feeling that it’s perfectly fine to let go and drift off, that you can relax and let go, safe in the knowledge that absolutely everything is going to be OK.
Lucid Dreaming Sleep Track
Lucid dreaming is the process of becoming aware that you’re dreaming while in the middle of a dream. Sometimes -though not always- it’s possible to gain control of some or all aspects of the dream, whether that’s our own actions within the dream, the environment, or anything else.
I’ve been fascinated by lucid dreaming for years, even though I must admit it’s not something I’ve mastered very well at all just yet.
That’s OK though, because while I’m still learning about all the different techniques and ways to control my dream, this wonderfully soothing lucid dream sleep track is helping.
To be honest, it’s probably a stretch to call this one of the best guided sleep meditations on YouTube.
Unlike the other videos, there’s no voice on here, no talk-downs, and nothing to listen to except for light, ambient music that will play throughout a full eight hour’s of sleep.
Sometimes, this in itself is enough to help me sleep better, blocking out background distractions and giving me someting to focus on as I gently drift into dreamland.
Jason Stephenson – Guided Sleep Meditation | Let Go of Anxiety, Fear, Worry Before Sleep
Yes, it’s another Jason Stephenson video.
Earlier, I mentioned that the first video I shared with you was great for releasing physical tension or discomfort.
Yet sometimes, there’s much more going on.
Sometimes, it isn’t our physcal bodies that are keeping us awake but our minds. All those fears, worries, and anxieties can keep us up for hours.
This excellent video helps us to send all of those things away, out in the eher, leaving us calm, relaxed, and ready to rest.
If you can’t sleep because you can’t stop thinking, give this one ago.
ZenlifeRelax – The DEEPEST Healing | Let Go Of All Negative Energy – Healing Meditation Music 432Hz
There may be times when you need a little help falling to sleep, but find that even the most soothing of voices keeps you awake.
If that’s the case, you might want to try this beautiful healing meditation music from ZenLifeRelax.
For the longest time, I had a set bedtime routine that involved playing one of Nicky Sutton’s videos and then having this gorgeous music auto-play right after it.
I find that playing this at night does much more than helping me fall asleep. It helps me to sleep much deeper and much more peacefully, and to wake up feeling calm, happy and content.
Often, when my mental health is off, I can wake up and immediately come under attack from a barrage of fear and anxiety.
This video really does prevent that. Whenever I use it, I wake up feeling as though everything is OK and everything is fine in my world, even if it may be anything but!
